The Obligation Explained
It is important to remember that eligibility for ECO doesn't necessarily mean that an installer or energy supplier will install an energy efficiency measure in a home. To be eligible for ECO, you must have your own home or permission from your landlord. This includes if your property is managed by a social housing provider. Local authorities may also be able to refer residents to obligated gas suppliers in order to offer them support under this scheme.
